Wanderlust against frustration. Sounds like a hackneyed phrase, but it’s true. How many kilometers and altitude meters have I covered on foot, how many beads of sweat have I left on the mountain, and… I’m still not tired of it! And the nice thing is: I don’t go hiking to relieve frustration, but because I enjoy it, the exercise, the fresh air, the panorama. It’s no longer about “Higher. Faster. Further.” I’ve been told that I can’t enjoy the beauty of the landscape at my (fast?) pace. But I have to disagree. Above all, I feel most comfortable at my own pace (whether fast or not is a subjective assessment anyway). Go with your own flow! That’s always been the case. But I was also able to learn something new here: sharing the journey and beautiful moments, THAT helps against frustration. I adapted my pace to that of my fellow hikers, not only for professional reasons, but also to walk the path together with loved ones. This realization took a long time to grow, because it wasn’t always the case.

But with my growing yoga experience and the shedding of old burdens, there is no longer any compulsion to walk. I no longer have to “break” myself physically for a balanced mind, but see every hike, no matter how long and high, every walk in nature as an enrichment and enjoy every moment. Not just alone, but also with dear friends and my guests. Because let’s be honest: the mountains are my office! This is where I get to “work” and earn money while hiking. No room for complaints at this point, I can consider myself very lucky that this is the case and that I have followed my passion.
You were only really where you were on foot. – Goethe
Since 2013 I have been working as a mountain hiking guide in Corsica, later I added other destinations such as Chile, Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and Germany. As a round trip, trekking trip or location trip, day tours or multi-day tours, yoga & hiking, yoga & massage… Hiking can be so much more than just putting one foot in front of the other. I am delighted that there are so many hiking enthusiasts out there and hope to be able to hike a few (high) meters together with you and get away from it all. This is where I’m heading next.
