Le mot \u00ab\u00a0prana\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9signe l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie vitale, vue \u00e0 la fois comme un flux constant et comme la force fondamentale qui anime notre existence. Le pr\u00e9fixe \u00ab\u00a0pra\u00a0\u00bb signifie \u00ab\u00a0avant\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0pour\u00a0\u00bb, tandis que \u00ab\u00a0an\u00a0\u00bb se r\u00e9f\u00e8re \u00e0 la respiration, au souffle ou \u00e0 la vie. Ainsi, <em>pranayama<\/em> ne se limite pas seulement \u00e0 la respiration, mais d\u00e9signe \u00e9galement la ma\u00eetrise consciente de cette \u00e9nergie vitale.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Agni: le feu int\u00e9rieur<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Le prana va bien au-del\u00e0 du simple \u00e9change d&rsquo;air entre notre corps et l&rsquo;ext\u00e9rieur. Il englobe \u00e9galement l&rsquo;absorption de nourriture et le processus d&rsquo;ingestion, qui sont l&rsquo;expression d&rsquo;une \u00e9nergie vitale universelle et cr\u00e9atrice. Ce processus d&rsquo;absorption des \u00ab\u00a0mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res\u00a0\u00bb, qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;agisse d&rsquo;air ou de nourriture, aboutit \u00e0 leur transformation et m\u00e9tabolisation par notre organisme. Dans ce contexte, le concept d&rsquo;Agni \u2013 le feu digestif \u2013 joue un r\u00f4le primordial. Agni est l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie qui transforme toutes les substances ing\u00e9r\u00e9es en \u00e9l\u00e9ments digestibles et nutritifs. Le terme \u00ab\u00a0ignite\u00a0\u00bb (en anglais : enflammer) provient d&rsquo;ailleurs du mot \u00ab\u00a0Agni\u00a0\u00bb. De m\u00eame que le feu g\u00e9n\u00e8re des cendres, le corps produit des d\u00e9chets qu&rsquo;il \u00e9limine gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 Apana \u2013 le principe de l&rsquo;\u00e9limination.<\/p>\n<p>Le prana repr\u00e9sente l&rsquo;absorption des \u00ab\u00a0mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res\u00a0\u00bb entrant dans le corps, tandis qu&rsquo;Agni symbolise leur transformation en \u00e9nergie, et Apana est le processus d&rsquo;\u00e9limination des d\u00e9chets. L&rsquo;action du prana se dirige principalement vers le bas, favorisant la gravitation des aliments solides et liquides, tandis que pour les gaz, comme l&rsquo;air, la direction est orient\u00e9e vers le haut, en raison de l&rsquo;\u00e9change gazeux dans les poumons. Des exercices de respiration sp\u00e9cifiques permettent d&rsquo;exercer le contr\u00f4le sur le flux d&rsquo;Apana et de le r\u00e9orienter vers le haut. Une erreur fr\u00e9quente chez les d\u00e9butants consiste \u00e0 contracter le bas du corps lors de l&rsquo;expiration, comme si l&rsquo;on \u00e9tait en train d&rsquo;\u00e9liminer des d\u00e9chets. Bien que ce soit un r\u00e9flexe naturel pour faire descendre ce qui doit sortir, pour diriger Apana vers le haut, il est n\u00e9cessaire d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer la posture et de porter son attention sur l&rsquo;inversion du mouvement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>La cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;un espace libre dans le corps<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Le terme <em>dukh<\/em> (souffrance) provient du sanskrit, et se compose de \u00ab\u00a0kha\u00a0\u00bb (espace) et \u00ab\u00a0du\u00a0\u00bb (mauvais, difficile). Dans la pratique du yoga, la souffrance est souvent per\u00e7ue comme la sensation d&rsquo;un espace restreint, aussi bien dans le domaine physique qu&rsquo;\u00e9motionnel. En revanche, <em>sukha<\/em> signifie \u00ab\u00a0bon espace\u00a0\u00bb ou \u00ab\u00a0l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. Pour exp\u00e9rimenter ce \u00ab\u00a0bon espace\u00a0\u00bb, il est n\u00e9cessaire de cr\u00e9er dans le corps un espace libre et centr\u00e9, permettant une circulation harmonieuse des \u00e9nergies du prana et de l&rsquo;apana. Cela se r\u00e9alise en lib\u00e9rant les blocages du syst\u00e8me, objectif essentiel de la pratique du yoga. Lorsque Apana fonctionne correctement, l&rsquo;inspiration du prana se fait presque automatiquement. En \u00e9liminant ce qui n&rsquo;est pas n\u00e9cessaire, un espace est cr\u00e9\u00e9 pour accueillir ce qui est essentiel, entra\u00eenant ainsi un effet b\u00e9n\u00e9fique. Une grande partie de la pratique curative du yoga r\u00e9side donc dans l&rsquo;\u00e9limination des d\u00e9chets, environ 70% du CO\u2082 expir\u00e9 \u00e9tant \u00e9vacu\u00e9 sous forme de d\u00e9chets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>La respiration, notre outil le plus important<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La respiration, c&rsquo;est avant tout le changement de forme des cavit\u00e9s de notre corps. La premi\u00e8re respiration d\u2019un nouveau-n\u00e9 est particuli\u00e8rement significative : elle permet de surmonter la tension de la paroi pulmonaire et marque le d\u00e9but de la respiration autonome, apr\u00e8s la s\u00e9paration du cordon ombilical. Le d\u00e9veloppement de la respiration et du corps est un processus continu. Chez les enfants, la stabilisation et la mobilisation du corps ne se terminent qu&rsquo;avec la formation de la colonne lombaire, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement autour de l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de 10 ans.<\/p>\n<p>Une vie saine n\u00e9cessite un \u00e9quilibre entre prana et apana, entre la respiration et la posture, ainsi qu&rsquo;entre sukha et dukha. Toute augmentation de volume dans la cavit\u00e9 abdominale modifie la forme et le volume de la cavit\u00e9 thoracique, affectant ainsi la respiration. L\u2019expiration est passive et ne fait pas appel \u00e0 la force musculaire, tandis que l\u2019inspiration implique un \u00e9tirement de la colonne vert\u00e9brale et une ouverture du corps. L\u2019air circule toujours dans des zones de pression n\u00e9gative, et la pression atmosph\u00e9rique pousse l\u2019air dans notre corps. L&rsquo;\u00e9nergie que nous d\u00e9pensons en respirant r\u00e9duit la pression dans la cage thoracique, permettant ainsi \u00e0 notre corps de se dilater et \u00e0 l&rsquo;univers de se d\u00e9ployer dans l\u2019espace nouvellement cr\u00e9\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>L&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre corporel vient d&rsquo;une harmonie de Prana et Apana<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dans l&rsquo;ensemble, il devient \u00e9vident que la respiration d\u00e9passe le simple processus physique. Elle est intimement li\u00e9e \u00e0 notre \u00e9nergie interne, \u00e0 notre sant\u00e9 et \u00e0 notre bien-\u00eatre.
